Alberto Sanchez rediscovers the world through his viewfinder and re-visions that experience through his layering and evocative palette. His body of work explores the notions of urban expansionism, capitalism and how individuals define themselves in an increasingly overloaded sensorial environment. The artist travels the world with his unique vision, taking photographs in black and white of the cities and landscapes that captivate him.
The colouring is all done uniquely and by the hand of the artist, then translated digitally to a photographic edition, which is never an exact replica of an original artwork.
Each of these beautiful prints are produced in an edition size of only 20 and each artwork is signed and titled by the artist (see image gallery).
The original image was photographed in Byron Bay, Australia by the artist.
