Since then, she has had a number of international solo exhibitions, the first at Thinkspace Gallery, Los Angeles, followed by exhibitions at Bourgeois Pig Gallery in Heidelberg, Germany and Melbourne’s Lamington Drive Gallery. Her work has been in numerous group shows in Australia, the UK, USA and Germany. Some of her clients have included Saatchi and Saatchi, Harper’s Bazaar, Frankie, Poketo and Iron st clothing. Piri’s work has been featured in Frankie, Yen, Empty, Semi Permanent, Curvy and many other publications.

Lilly's work has been recognized by many awards during her career, most recently, she was a Semi-Finalist at the Lester Prize, Perth, Australia and Finalist at Lethbridge 20000, Brisbane, Australia.

The themes of her drawings focus on correspondence, wonder at ora and fauna, migration, and beauty. They are created with colour pencil, and acrylics. Lilly Piri currently lives and works on the Gold Coast.

About her work the artist has written:

"The themes that inspire my drawings are often interests that I formed in my childhood. Letter writing, philately, entomology, travel, and learning, continue to be important influences.

Another source of inspiration is the four years that I spent in Germany. The realities of a new culture, migration, homesickness, and of being an immigrant, have all helped to form new narratives in my work." - Lilly Piri
