Unique work
'Butterfly #9' is a new original painting by Minas Halaj an artist who trained in Fine Art Studies first in Yerevan, Armenia, and later in California, USA, where he is now based.
Incorporating elements from his classical education with contemporary influences, Minas’ art manifests itself by way of a symphony of graphics, sculptures, collages and figurative compositions. His works combine a number of materials including oil paint, gold leaf, vintage fabrics and other materials and his unique approach has been attracting the attention of art collectors around the world. Minas uses a variety of recycled material including tar as part of the background and pieces of a pre-Victorian dresses to add texture and dimension, making his work deeply complex.
