'Primo' is a new artwork by Ines Iglesias and belongs to an ongoing series of not-quite self-portraits where the artist examines what she calls micro moments of daily life. The artist has said about this series:
"They are all part of me, externalized parts of me, my being, my defects, joys, sorrows, achievements, contempt, efforts, awards... and the way they face the viewer straight on remind me that everything one has lived is there, that the journey is the most important and that that criticism and comments, prejudices, are not worth it.""
