Creating an Ethereal Atmosphere | Toby Burrows for The RPS Journal | July 2014

Artist Toby Burrows provided tips on photographing a fantasy in The RPS journal’s July 2014, Vol 154.

“The series from which this image is taken is called Soliloquay, taken in a tank in my studio. The camera was elevated above the water’s surface, and a pigment was added to create a diffused appearance to the water. I needed to balance the amount of pigment I added to give the diffused feel, but retain a certain clarity in order to see the detail. It was a delicate balance!”
